Can you help with the identification of a medal? Iron Cross, Maltese, Masonic?

HI This is not an adequate Maltese cross as the ends do not have two points. A Maltese cross has eight points (each of the four arms has two points) and the shape of the German Iron Cross is more like yours. This however is not an iron cross, no swastika in the center. It seems to be Masonic, but I'm not sure. Enamel as it were fairly recent century, 19 or later I guess. Try a medal specialist at Sotheby's Auction House, you may be able to say more.
