Why is my ad on a different aspect PowerPoint print on the screen? Why is my text moving around?

I work in an area where many posters printed for students. Most use PowerPoint. I met my first sign that every time you print, change the text around and refuses to print exactly as shown on the screen. My page setup is correct, my margins are extra. I do not know how to "lock things in their place. "I do not have the ability to convert to PDF or anything. I'm using PowerPoint 2003, and an HP Designjet 500 Printer posters. I have written many posters and w / o this problem. Please help.

Your setup page my be OK in PowerPoint, but try to check the printer settings.
